ABOUT WAXING
We take great pride in our professional fast and fabulous waxing services. We use waxes designed specifically for the body and sensitive areas such as the face and bikini line. With over 20 years of experience, you can trust us - we know what we are doing!
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR REDUCING PAIN
-
For optimal results, hair should be 1/4" long. It usually takes an average of 3-4 weeks for hair to grow this long.
-
Avoid shaving or depilatories in between waxes, as hair grows back thinner, resulting in quicker, less painful waxes
-
Schedule your appointment within the first two weeks of your monthly cycle, as you will be less sensitive
-
Take a low dose of pain reliever 20 minutes prior to your appointment
-
Avoid sun bathing or tanning beds prior to your appointment, as we cannot wax sunburned skin
FOR OPTIMAL RESULTS
After waxing, avoid excessive heat (sauna, steam, sun exposure, etc.) for 24 hours. Exfoliate and moisturize on a regular basis to minimize ingrown hairs. We have an excellent choice of exfoliation mitts that will keep your skin silky soft. PFB, an ingrown hair serum, can also help with stubborn hairs.
FOR THOSE ON ACNE MEDICATIONS
Facial waxing is not recommended for clients currently using Retin A, Renova, Differin or other types of skin thinning acne medications. Please read the label carefully and consult your dermatologist if you are taking any medication or using any topical cream that contains these medications or stop for 7 days prior to waxing.
Accutane patients AVOID all waxing while on Accutane and for a minimum of 6-12 months after stopping the medication. Consult your dermatologist about when to proceed.
